Gracie Todd
Gracie Todd (also known as Gracie Tea) is a filmmaker specializing in the delightfully silly, sometimes spooky, and often, the perfect mix of both. She began her journey at Second City Chicago’s Comedy Studies program, earning a BA in Comedy Writing and Performance, which led to two internships at CONAN.
Her first screenwriting role was at PINKFONG USA, home of Baby Shark, the most-watched YouTube video of all time. As the writer for the hybrid live-action/animated series Hey Tenny, she helped grow the channel to 1.26M+ subscribers and over 544 million views. On set, she discovered a passion for directing, co-directing the series’ top episode (34M+ views) and solo-directing several episodes, also available on Amazon Prime. She was later promoted to Associate Director/Writer.
Following her time at Pinkfong, Gracie thrived in the freelance space. She associate produced the upcoming documentary Music Innovation: Ennio to A.I., featuring Diane Warren and Billy Corgan, then co-wrote, produced, and second-unit directed the horror feature Shadow of the Sun starring Gustavo Gomez and featuring Danny Trejo (currently in post).
She was then hired by an animation studio to co-write an adult animation pilot with Simpsons/Letterman alum Steve Young (17 Emmy nominations), which is currently being shopped in Europe. She now works as a creative producer on live-action and animated content for companies such as IBM, McGraw Hill, and Harmony Academy.
Gracie has directed/produced music videos, served as a Comedy Specialist for an indie video game, and is now head writer for Lil Pudgys, a new animated YouTube series from The Soul Publishing (a company with 2B+ subscribers across all of youtube) and Pudgy Penguins ( 2M Instagram followers). Though this new series is just launching, she looks forward to its silly success. She’s currently securing funding for her newest feature, a bold, surreal, and colorful horror that reflects her distinctive voice.
Gracie Todd’s career goal is to establish a unique and fearless voice in animation and live-action film.
